The Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. – National Capital Region Librarians Council (PLAI-NCRLC) will be conducting LIBLEADERS: THE LIBRARIAN LEADERSHIP CAMP on 5-7 July 2017 at Casa San Pablo, San Pablo, Laguna.

 

With the theme, Developing Your Leadership Potential, the LibLeaders: The Librarian Leadership Camp is the First Librarian Leadership Camp in the country. Conducted by an HR expert, this three-day training program is targeted to awaken leadership potentials of librarians and produce future leaders of the profession.  The leadership camp will have lectures and workshops, combined with outdoor activities, to fully develop the leadership potential of participants.

 

The course is designed towards leadership and management development for young librarians particularly officers/leaders of library associations and next-in-line librarians (junior staff).

This training aims to achieve the following objectives:

1.  To learn leadership theories in order to apply practical strategies for managing organizations / associations;

2.  To construct a balanced mindset that is “task-oriented” and “people-oriented” in order to bring out true potentials, talents, creativity, and commitment to achieve organizational goals;

3.  To identify components of human resource management and their importance as key factors in building a culture of engagement within organizations / associations.

 

Registration fee includes workshop kit, certificates, meals, and 2-nights’ accommodation (July 5-6):

PLAI Members                     -             P8,000

Non-PLAI Members            -               P8,500
