The Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. - National Capital Region Librarians Council (PLAI-NCRLC) is pleased to invite everyone to a Special Forum on ÄSEAN 2015 : Cross-Border Mobility for Librarians - Opportunity or Threat? "on September 17, 2014, 8:00am - 11:00am, during the 35th Manila International Book Fair, SMX Convention Center, Mall of AsiaComplex, Pasay City. There will be an overview of the key issueson ASEAN Integration by Dr. Dominique R. Tutay, OIC Director, Bureau of Labor and Employment, DOLE.

 

The PLAI-NCRLC would like to ensure that librarians and other information professionals can respond effectively to the various ASEAN challenges and contribute to the ASEAN's community-building goals.

 

Among the panelists are: Hon. Lourdes T. David, representing the Professional Regulatory Board for Librarians; Mrs. Elizabeth R. Peralejo, for the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc.; Dean Kate B. Obille, for library educators; and Ms. Elvira B. Lapuz, for practicing librarians.
